October is Vaccine Injury Awareness Month. In conjunction with Iowans for Informed Consent, we will be co-hosting our 3rd annual Vaccine Injury Vigil. The Vaccine Injury Vigil is a public event to honor all those who have been injured or passed away due to vaccines. We understand that injuries are not rare, just rarely reported. Contact us to honor someone you love who has been injured, share their story and help others be aware of the risks associated with vaccination. We will have light appetizers and drinks to follow. In honor of Christopher Bunch, who passed away at the young age of 14 from the HPV VACCINE. Christopher loved motorcycles of all kinds! Donations can be made for a bumper sticker at the venue with Christopher's picture, information regarding the HPV VACCINE, and it's dangers. The family is requesting a $10 donation and that would cover bumper sticker costs and the rest (you could donate more if you wish) will would go towards the Learn The Risk website and also go to Iowa city Children's Hospital. We will meet up at Swanson Professional Floor Covering where we will do an introduction of the speakers including Del Bigtree, Joni Abbot, Erica Dawson, Shelly Meier, Lori Harvey and a few others and give a backstory about Christopher. From there we will ride by Moline little league fields where my son loved to play ball and visit other areas where my son loved to be at. Upon returning back to the meeting spot the guest speakers (mentioned above) will be giving information on the pros and cons of vaccines. A taco truck will be available at the event to buy tacos and drinks and we can all get to know one another. Anybody and everybody is invited to attend. Even if you don't have a bike you are more than welcome to attend...THE MORE BIKES THE BETTER!!
